I’ve been fighting a bug for a few days and lost my voice last night, so this is a little gravely sounding.
My diet is going well and I am working out A LOT. Still doing about two hours of bagua a day plus lifting weights with Steve. I’ve been tracking my net calorie expenditure with Fit.
The prize for Puzzllotto has been announced - up to $30,000! UL is going to be huge, plus this will do a hell of a lot for Madagascar. Seriously great work, guys.
I was fortunate enough to obtain an early release demo of Puzzllotto, an outstanding game coming soon from United Lemur, the eco-friendly iPhone software development company helmed by Mike Lee.
The game is inspired by titles such as Myst and Zork, but it also reminded me very strongly of a much cuter take on games like The Seventh Guest and Samorost.
The jungle contains beautiful and friendly creatures, as well as the rapacious and terrifying fossa!
Part of a much bigger picture
Although this is an extremely enjoyable game to play, there is a lot more going on here than simple entertainment: 10% of the revenue Puzzllotto generates from the iPhone App Store will be donated to the Madagascar Fauna Group. As if this weren’t enough, Puzzllotto is the first title released as a part of Mike’s Fundware initiative, a referral system intended to help introduce high quality iPhone software created by obscure or unknown developers to the market.
I’m excited by what Mike and United Lemur have done - Mike has a demonstrated track record of achieving great things through highly unconventional means. United Lemur, Puzzllotto, and Fundware are going to change what people believe is possible in the software industry.
