Major Brain Murmurs Website Overhaul
Of all of the websites we’ve worked on, I swear to God that our company website was the worst that I’ve ever seen.
Between working on IMP and later, Mentat, and working a full time contract for Twisted Pair, our resources were incredibly limited. After completing my last project for Twisted Pair (a migration of their WAVE system to the Pocket PC) on Monday, I lurched around like a stunned gazelle after a plains fire for a few days.
By yesterday I decided to start including some information on our site about Mentat. I started with our home page, and then things ground to a halt. Our site looks like something straight out of the mid 1990s, extremely Web 1.0 (more like Web 0.2). There’s nothing like a couple of really intense web development projects back-to-back to give you an appreciate for modern niceties.
So I spent most of yesterday afternoon and today updating our website and I think it looks great. I also added our first-ever information about IMP on our main site, which took quite a bit longer than I’d expected, but was worth it.
I’d still like to do more but I think this is a vastly better than where we were two days ago, and we have a place holder for our upcoming Mentat page.
